Dr Sarah Metcalf

Dr Sarah Metcalf is an Infectious Diseases and General Medicine Physician at Christchurch Hospital. She attended Medical School at the University of Otago, graduating in 1995 and completed post-graduate training at Christchurch Hospital specialising in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine in 2003. Following that she worked in Sheffield, United Kingdom to gain further experience in Infectious Diseases, which included significant experience in HIV medicine. She is currently Clinical Director of the Infection Management Service at Christchurch Hospital. Her interests include general infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, HIV medicine, viral hepatitis and infections in immunocompromised hosts.
