Dr Ashok Raj

Dr Ashok Raj

Ashok Raj was a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Counties Manukau Health, and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, until a recent move to Australia where he is a Hepatologist at Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is a graduate of the University of Auckland and undertook his specialist and research training in Auckland and Brisbane, Australia. He has a strong interest in the gut microbiota, and holds a PhD on the role of the gut microbiota and intestinal permeability in liver disease (University of Queensland).
