Dr Massimo Giola

Dr Massimo Giola

Dr Massimo Giola obtained his medical degree in 1991 at the University of Pavia (Italy) and specialised in infectious diseases in 1996 (Italy). He studied antiretroviral drugs’ pharmacokinetics during a PhD programme in clinical and experimental pharmacology from 2005 to 2008 at the University of Varese (Italy). He moved to NZ in 2009 and worked as a general/ ID physician in Invercargill until November 2010, then in Tauranga until June 2013. He was accepted for the FRACP in December 2012, and did a second specialty training in Sexual Health Medicine in Auckland until June 2015. He is now back in Tauranga (hopefully for good!). Dr Sarah Metcalf

Dr Sarah Metcalf

Dr Sarah Metcalf is an Infectious Diseases and General Medicine Physician at Christchurch Hospital. She attended Medical School at the University of Otago, graduating in 1995 and completed post-graduate training at Christchurch Hospital specialising in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine in 2003. Following that she worked in Sheffield, United Kingdom to gain further experience in Infectious Diseases, which included significant experience in HIV medicine. She is currently Clinical Director of the Infection Management Service at Christchurch Hospital.
